Slowroll/KDE stability problems

Ok, for third time now in just a few weeks upon resumption from sleep the monitor wouldn’t come on and no way to get to a terminal because system wouldn’t respond to any buttons pressed ie control plus alt plus F1. I’ve therefore been forced to press the reset button on my PC.

Now, upon resumption when I go to open Dolphin and try to drag and drop a file anywhere dolphin becomes unresponsive and I have to terminate it.

Any suggestions??

/ is btrfs
/home is ext4
Running kde 6.14, kernel 6.10.5-1.
Opensuse Slowroll

Ok, a system update didn’t fix the problem the opposite I now can’t login to kde at all now, black screen upon login.

Any time forcing reboot via button instead of software, I recommend not logging into Plasma until after purging the content of ~/.cache/. Weird things can happen in Plasma when cache is corrupt.

This are in fac two problems, One with sleep and one with Dolphin. Thus two threads!

On in Applicatiosn with a title something like: Dolphin unresponsive on drag and drop.

People trigger on thread titles if they should open them or not. Even for the volunteers here time is precious and many will go to for titles that draw their attention. But your title is not much more then “it does not work”, special because the words Slowroll and plasmma-6 are already in the tags.

Ok, after system update i can’t login into wayland KDE at all now.

However I can login to X11 plasma just fine and the drag and drop works isn’t an issue in dolphin either.

In terms of removing the cache, I get the following error when running rm -rf ~/.cache: cannot remove ~/.cache/doc Is a directory

Just delete all files from .cache

Ended

There wasone that wouldn’t delete.

But I was able to delete it once I done a roll back which also fixed the wayland login.
