slow Internet conection only under openSuse

Hello at first I am new in the forum and openSuse is my first Linux experience !. All works fine except the Internet it is so sloooow witch is not the case on me mac ! I connect via a DSL modem to the Internet the connection is not a problem it is just slow I have no idea why and how I could possibly fix it I appreciate any tips .

It may be possible that Suse 11 is using ipv4 and ipv6, try disabling ipv6.
