Slow hdd performance with nvidia-based motherboard

Hello guys.

I have changed my motherboard to an nvidia based one. I am adding part of boot.msg so you can help me point out what’s going on with my system. i’m currently using sled v10 and xp.

xp boots fast but inside, operations involving hard disk become so slow, that almost halt the system (would it be the mcafee antivirus?).
I have installed the MB drivers with the cd that came with it. With my previous motherboard, everything was lightning fast (for both OS’s).

however, in linux, it boots in nearly 5min!!!; and operations when SLED is loaded are quite fast, but i can’t load CD’s. My system don’t recognize any CDs (xp does).

Any help given is highly appreciated.
