slow browser

I am experiencing twice the loading time with Firefox on my openSUSE 11.2 system versus windowsXP. I have reviewed my ethernet settings and I am wired to Belkin wireless G router. I disabled IPv6 via YaST rebooted with no change.

Any help would be appreciated.

found the solution and changed firefox configuration from:
network.dns.disableIPv6;false and changed to:
network.dns.disableIPv6;true

Hi,

Now that you have Firefox working properly, I would suggest you try Chromium, which is much faster than Firefox, and looks considerably better.

Anyone had any experience with swiftfox or weasel?

slow browser is not a problem of I or IP6,may be your IP configuraion is not proper or you should have to update your mozilla firefox.
