If the slow boot occurs when not connected to a network where the NAS resides, the delay may be that the computer is waiting for a timeout in nfs as it tries to connect. There’s an option in config (don’t recall where, but I found it in the OpenSuse forums) that let’s you shorter the wait to, say, 5 or 10 seconds. j
