Slow 2D performance with Kernel Mode Settings enabled

Hi!

I have an ATI x200M graphics card in my Inspiron Laptop with OpenSUSE 11.3, KDE4.5.2 with compositing enabled. I am using the radeon driver with Mesa 7.8.2 installed. With Kernel mode settings on, my 3D performance is good, there is no tearing and blinking when i try to run openGL apps. However 2D accelaration is really slow :expressionless: When i try to scroll a webpage it lags like hell. I tried these options in xorg.conf and also in the device section of xorg.conf.d:

Option “AccelMethod” “EXA”
Option “EnablePageFlip” “on”
Option “ColorTiling” “on”

No diferrence at all. Now im am using Suse with the settings abowe and with the nomodeset option, and 2D acceleration works fast, no lags, but the opengl apps are blinking, and i encounter with graphical corruptions.

Can i enable somehow the 2d acceleration when i use Kernel Mode settings?

Thanks!
