After the system crashed, we decided to start all over and deleted all the partitions and installed SUSE (SLES10) from scratch.
We created one partition of 30GB to install Suse (dev/sda1 reiser and mount point “/”). (Total of 3 disks, each one 750GB)
After rebooting it says: “Booting from local disk” and it hangs here…
When it didn’t worked the first time, i booted from the DVD and chose Boot Installed System, and everything works perfect.
So i started Boot Loader in Yast and tried every possible action (boot from MBR, boot from Boot Partition, Resore MBR and so on, and so on) but nothing worked. Searching with google brought me to Super Grub disk Live CD - The solution where i downloaded the ISO file and restored GRUB. Unfortunatly, no success…
Can you please point me in the right direction. Please keep in mind that this is the first time i’ve ever worked with Linux.
This partitioning in your fdisk: is not representative of a Linux system. I suggest you install again and either allow the installer to use the entire HD (sda) or manually partition to create a typical partition setup of:

/home
swap
welcome to the free and openSUSE forums…you are welcome here but you
are in the wrong place if you are seeking competent help with your
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server version 10…
SLES is a commercial product sold and supported by Novell…the
correct forum for you is: http://tinyurl.com/69jvat
be advised: while openSUSE 11.x and SLES 11 come from the same roots
they are absolutely NOT the same…
additionally, most folks here (myself included) have never installed
or run SLES or SLED…so, if it were my three 750 gig drives
beginning their third install, i’d be hard pressed to follow ANY
advice given here…
certainly to do so might not be the easiest course of action for you
to get back up and running again…
