- I have SLES 11 on 1st partition and 2 Ubuntus on other 2, can I insall Windows now, in some other partition and still be able to boot all the distros?
- How do I make SLES 11 bootable USB and install SLES from this USB?
-
I installed SLES 11 on top of a disk with 2 Ubuntu distros Ubuntu 9.04 server and desktop and Ubuntu grub entry is messed up . The boot screen looks messy but fortunately I can still boot all the three Distros.
Probably not as Windows insists on being on the 1st partition; so unless it is on the 1st partition of another drive, I think you are out of luck.
But why are asking this question on the openSUSE forum if you have installed an enterprise distro or why are you using an enterprise distribution alongside Ubuntu (unless you have an LTS version)?
The SLES forum is here http://forums.novell.com/suse/suse-product-discussion-forums/suse-linux-enterprise/suse-linux-enterprise-server-sles/
If you keep to under 4 partitions maybe. Windows will definitely not boot if in an extended logical partition. It has to be on a primary. It does like being the first and only OS.
