What is this real time extension available from Attachmate. It is very expensive. Is it closed source or licensed to community with GPL?
If I order SLES will I be able to get all the source for it?
How about that mentioned real time extension?
What is the situation with Mono exactly ?

You should probably ask SLES questions in the SLES forums for the best
chances of getting the answers you want.
The Realtime extension allows you to run SLES RealTime though chances
are good that this is not what you want. If “realtime” does not ring a
lot of bells indicating to you that you want it for a very specific
reason (stock exchange transaction activities for example) then it’s not
for you.
If you purchase SLES, or even if you do not, you can get all of the
sources for it for packages which are Open Source. See
download.novell.com to download the installation media including the
SDKs and sources anytime.
