Hello guys,
I have been searching a lot on the internet, specifically how the current level of the beta is being developed, and i have not found much, so i don’t know the current status or its final release date.
I’m waiting eagerly for this version as i need to use my linux-pc to connect to the internet, my SLED10sp2 (with default kernel) doesn’t detect my 3g cellphone usb modem at all. i’m currently on xp, and it feels awkward using it, as i only have used SLED since june 2006 until now when i switched isp’s.
I am sort of afraid of using opensuse 11.1 after reading the issues it has, and i decided to wait for the corporate stable version instead.
If any of you are working on the current beta, please let know anything about it; and if you can/may share the iso’s, let me know (private message) to test it at home.
If I were to make a completely uneducated and uninformed guess, based on
the beta and its time there, I would guess (wildly) that it will be
within the next two to three months, but again that’s completely
uninformed. Novell doesn’t give release dates typically for its
products (and I don’t work anywhere near SLED, except as a regular end
user on all my computers) so if you can maybe get involved with the beta
(if possible) and that may get you closer to having official estimates.
Good luck.

Might be worth giving the 11.1 Live CD a shot. If it works with your hardware, then great. Most of the issues are reasonably well known now, and seem to be irritating, rather than eat your data.
