Amazing. This just started happening to me in the last few hours. So I’ll wait here for the answers too.

Something similar happened some time ago (vmware broke “something”).

Bug 445043 - An error occurred while loading or saving configuration
information for slab…
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=445043

It was also commented in these forums:

http://forums.opensuse.org/pre-release-beta/401056-slab-popups-all-time.html

But not sure if you both are experiencing that same issue or this is a new
one :-?

Greetings,

Thanks – I’ve distilled that down to the following that works for me, so far.

This happens when vmware is installed (or perhaps when the firefox plug-in to enable the console is installed).

There’s a bug-fix due in the online updates but it’s not here yet.

In the meantime I’m using this: goto your home directory and delete the hidden file .recently-used.xbel. Create a directory with the same name.

That removes the annoying error. I’ll let you know if any problems crop up as a result.
