Skype and pulseaudio

Skype boosts my microphone input level, and it needs to. But then it leaves it set high when it terminates. Is there a way to tell pulseaudio/pavucontrol to set it to zero using a script?

may be this helps:
pacmd list-sinks | grep “volume”

There is a script also you could test:
