Skype, & 64bits of confusion

I went to download Skype, and in the box under distributions, openSUSE 12.1 32bit is the only option. (other than Ubuntu & stuff)
http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-computer/

My question is, can I use that with a 64bit system?
**or
**Is there another option for video chatting that will work with other Skype users?

OS = openSUSE 12.2 ~ 64bit
Gnome desktop
HP Notebook

yes, generally 32 bit apps will run in 64 bit systems, but not the
other way around…

Skype does work well under opensuse 12.2 64bit. Have installed the all standard package from skype.com and use it almost everyday. Can’t remember having any trouble at all.

So go ahead and try it. If you have trouble installing just post the specific error-output here and we’ll do our best to help.

[size=2]Skype is running perfectly.
It didnt at first,
I got frusterated and left it alone for a few days…
Today I start it up,and POooft!!! it works, it all works.

So, I have no idea what I did, or what happened.
I will, pay homage to the Open Source Gods by removing Souls from the Microsoft pit of despair.
