Skip an upgrade of a single package

Hello,

is there a simple way to “skip” a single package upgrade? I get informed that new security upgrades are available, but I don’t want it to get installed.

It’s Firefox’s 3.0.14 version, but I already use 3.5.2, so I don’t want 3.0.14. And if I allow it to install, it fails because of xulrunner conflict.

“Unchecking” it in the new upgrades list doesn’t help, I will get notified again on restart.

So I’m looking for something like “aptitude hold…” in Debian.

Thanks in advance!
