since years I try to sign pdfs with okular and my D-Trust smart card. My signing certificate is working in firefox, but not in okular (see defferent posts in this forum).
I tried the test version of PDFstudio from qoppa and at least I can see my D-Trust certificate, but due to the testversion I can’t use it. PDFstudio uses the opensc library. Obviously it ist possible to use my smart card together with opensc. Is it possible to use the opensc library also in okular? The version of okular in 15.6 is 23.08.5, but I have also the newer version 24.12.1 via flatpack installed. Same problem in both versions.
If it works with Firefox, why worry about Okular?
Personally, we use Adobe Acrobat Online for signing, so doesn’t matter about environment. Less hassle.
Maybe less hassle, but I want to have the option to sign locally. And Okular should be able to do it. In this chat, gnupg Forum, it is discussed in more detail.
