Shut down while on Laptop Battery does not work / Hibernate. and Standby does not work either way

Dear SUSE rescuers

Greetings

Would appreciate your help. Okay, problem as follows:

  1. When my laptop is on AC Power, Power off works and laptop shuts down as expected. However, Suspend and Hibernate do not work properly. Choosing these options like Suspend would cause different behaviour than when choosing Shut down, but the final result, oddly, is a Shut down, not a Suspend.

  2. When Laptop is on Battery power, Power off is a strange thing. Clicking on Power off, laptop works a bit, then…it Restarts…it never powers off unless I connect AC power.

I hope this does not fall back again to my Laptop being a VAIO :stuck_out_tongue: …I mean, I have seen other people with TOSHIBA and others complaining about Shutdown/Suspend problems.

Thanks for your feedback
Grüße
