i initially installed kde4 on suse 11 when i first got it, but quickly moved back to kde3.5 because it was much more stable. how is kde4 going now? i’m not sure whether to make the switch yet.
what you guys reckon?

Give it a shot! It’s come a looooooooong way from the KDE4.0.4 you knew from the start of 11.0 what’s the worst that could happen?
They can be run side by side. Give it a run, the only you’ll find out it’s for you is to try it!
after updating the version it says i’m running is
4.0.4 (KDE 4.0.4 >= 20080505) “release 33.1”
is this the latest stable?
cheers.
Hi, the latest stable is KDE 4.1.3. Add these repos and update (assuming you have OS 11.0):
Desktop:
Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.0
Extra Apps:
Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Extra-Apps/openSUSE_11.0
Community:
Index of /repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Community/openSUSE_11.0_KDE4_Factory_Desktop
Not totally stable the stable versions are here
/Geoff
That gives you KDE 4.0.4 which IMHO is very buggy.
KDE 4.1.3 is way better and mostly usable IMHO.
