Should I re-install 15.1 over 15.0 or Upgrade???
Both ways should work, so it really depends on your setup.
Upgrade is guaranteed to work in most situations, so if you have a lot of custom configs or extra programs that is the way to go. It might be a good idea to disable any extra repositories you might have during the install, choosing “keep existing” for any conflict that might arise, then enabling and editing the extra repos after the basic upgrade and update all the remaining packages.
If your current Leap 15.0 has problems or underwent a lot of experiments so you are not entirely sure of its good shape, this might be a good time to reinstall from scratch.
Hi, I usually upgrade becouse with reinstall you loose all your installed printers, scanners, wifi networks with passwords, VPN networks, software, browser history and many other things and you have to reinstall everything, this is a problem that until now is unresolved in opensuse .
if you have’nt this problem and you have a lot of user settings you can try to reinstall keeping the /home partition if you have it separarete, or backup /home and replace it after installed.
