Shotcut video editor will not export

Had a couple of issues with shotcut recently, however thanks to support from this forum those issues were resolved and shotcut has been working fine with import of video and audio as well as editing on the timeline.

The issue unfortunately is exporting the edited video. When I export, instead of informing me of the completion percentage of the rendered video, it informs me ‘failed’

I ran shotcut through the terminal and this is the feedback

Exported…

Had to download Shotcut directly from their website

https://shotcut.org/download/

and extracted the .tar.bz2 folder. Then ran shotcut directly from the extracted folder.

Shotcut works fine. Think there must be issues with the shotcut version that I originally downloaded. Cannot remember which repository I used unfortunately.

Hope that helps others with similar issues
