Is it possible to get rid of the windowshapes in the desktop switcher application?
I just want to see the square of the desktop an it’s title, not the ugly shapes of all open windows on it.
Or any alternatives?

i can’t figure out what you are looking at…
nor can i see from here what operating system and version you are using…
or what desktop environment and version…
and, since you are asking for “any alternatives”, you might go ahead and
tell us exactly what theme/decoration/etc you are using so no one makes
the mistake of suggesting you use what you are, and don’t like…
a screen shot of this problem would be worth a lot of words…you could
post it to imagebam or similar . . .
and, just in case someone here thinks the shapes you have are pretty,
please make sure we understand which you think are ugly and want to change!

I think you are thinking about the Pager. That is a plasma-widget that dispays miniatures of your desktops. That widget itself does not seem to permit what you want to do. The only thing that I could think of would be to make a KWin window rule that (a) applies to all kinds of windows and (b) makes your windows “Skip Pager”.
