I would like to try out Plasma Bigscreen (https://plasma-bigscreen.org/) on a computer connected to my TV. Bigscreen appears to be available as part of Plasma 5.27 in tumbleweed. I have installed the “plasma5-bigscreen” package.
However, when I log in and selection “Plasma Bigsceen” or “Plasma Bigscreen (X11)” as the session type in SDDM, I get a mostly blank desktop: wallpaper, trash and home icons in upper left corner, and a clock in the middle. No menu or other apparent way to launch apps. I was expecting something that looks like this screenshot: https://plasma-bigscreen.org/img/screenshot-1.png
In any case, I’d be willing to try it out, experiment and report bugs if needed. That said, in the current state I don’t even see any way to try it out. Are there at least instructions somewhere to set it up so it looks like the screenshot? That is, the app launcher with large icons.
