Setting up openSUSE 11.3 to access printers on Windows Server 2003 via Samba?

Hi all,
I’m trying to set my openSUSE desktop up to use the printers on my office network via Samba. I managed to get it working in 11.2 but 11.3 is giving me some trouble.

I am able to access the printers and use them but I have to enter my network credentials each time I print. In 11.2 I was able to “save” my username/password and was not required to do this.

Are there any Samba packages I need to add in addition to the basic ones?
and
If anyone could possibly guide me in setting this up it would be much appreciated.

There seems to be a lack of documentation on this particular subject, most is concerning Windows clients printing on Linux print servers.

Thanks in advance!

I found a nice article on the subject at:

Printer Sharing: Windows Print Server for Suse/openSUSE Linux Clients [Samba and LPD]

I use HP networked printers these days, but I remember having to activate Samba on the Linux computer and having to refer to the Windows computer by its computer name during setup. In the above article it suggest that using a fixed IP address might be a better solution for a Windows computer sharing a printer to a Linux computer. Good luck.

Thank You,

Thanks! I think this is what I was looking for. About to go try it.
