Setting up (KDE4 RC) on a new laptop (sony vaio tz 150n)

My old desktop broke, now I’m on a laptop trying to get things back to the way they were. I have a sony vaio tz150n (core2duo 1.1 ghz, 2GB ram, 100GB HDD, wwan, wlan G/N, bluetooth, fingerprint reader, and motion eye cam.) I downloaded and installed KDE4 then upgraded to 4.3 RC from factory repos, but I broke my sudo and can’t setup anything more unless I log into IceWM… Someone help!

My wifi is detected, but doesn’t connect to the network (I’d like to use WICD if at all possible, but can’t switch from networkmanager 7.) I want to disable wwan. I want to enable bluetooth (and preferably have a button to disable it.) I want to be able to use KDESU again (it doesn’t work now, for some reason.) I want to use media buttons (eject, play, pause etc.)

Please excuse my state-of-panic, but I’m panicking… I’m not expecting someone to wave a wand and get me set up perfectly, lol, but any help would be great!
