Hello! I am also a new user to suse as well as linux. I got tired of windows and think it’s about time I started learning a real OS! Please go slow as I know little to nothing about linux. I’ll do the best I can.
As for my problem, I want to setup my wireless network card to access the internet. Having checked a few other posts, I entered some commands:
linux-pkzu:/home/rich # cat /etc/resolv.conf
domain site
linux-pkzu:/home/rich # iwconfig
lo no wireless extensions.
Hmm, if you take a quick peek, we have a wireless sub-section, in there you will find a few stickies, full of useful info. Also, you would be better posting there, that’s where the wireless GURU’s hang out

I’ve been using network manager. I know little to nothing about using the console. I’ve also been reading up on using ndiswrapper. I’m also trying to get hold of the DVD version of suse 11 (I don’t have a DVD burner) from ebay. That should give me more repositories and a better install. I’m quite keen to learn but the first thing I need to do is get it online first!
