Setting default paper size for LibreOffice

Although the printer drivers and /etc/papersize are set to “letter,” the printer in LibreOffice 3.3.1 (in SuSE 11.4) defaults to A4 for CUPS and HP laserjet (for both Impress and Writer). I have tried changing styles, templates, Yast, printer setup, etc. to no avail.

Searches on various SuSE, OpenOffice, and LibreOffice forums have not yielded a solution that works.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you changed the hplip and the CUPS settings as well as LibreOffice?

I previously checked the settings in Yast/Hardware (for CUPS and the HP) and printer settings in LibreOffice, but the print dialog still defaults to A4.

Perhaps there is a config file somewhere for LibreOffice that is determining the default paper size.

Hi
What about as your user running the hp-toolbox command?

hp-toolbox
