i set up the epson stylus nx125 to run under 11.1 using the avasys driver and it worked beautifully
now i have upgraded to 11.3 and i can’t get it to print as it has some sort of filter error as described in other posts here and in other forums for this printer and others.
the printer is set up in yast and in cups it just can’t get past this filter error tp print
i have a laptop and desktop and they both are in the same boat with this
any help will be greatly appreciated
my issue has now been resolved and unfortunately fot those who may have a similar problem i can’t be definitive about what fixed it
i do know i uninstalled cups and the avasys driver and then reinstalled and that did not work
i then did an online upgrade which seemed to upgrade everything and that did work
so i think once you install 11.3 you need to ensure everything is updated
i upgraded with a disc from osdisc.com and used the online update in Yast2
anyway i appear to be fixed so thanks to anyone who has been considering this problem. i hope my experience may be of some help as it is very frustrating when you are a newbie without the command line at your fingertips
