I can’t boot it properly (its stuck at waiting process),I tried with Safe mode which is fine.
The internet connection is very slow, it need 5 seconds to open just a google. Its not the connection, because when I switch into Win7 its fine.
If Safe Mode works, then one of the kernel load options added with this setting is making your system work, but which one is it? Here are the choices used in Failsafe:
I would try adding them one at a time, starting with the **nomodeset **kernel load option. Anytime you start the grub Operating System Selector, you can type in a kernel load option, before pressing enter and selecting the OS version you want to use. For instance, you could type in nomodeset and press enter and see what that does OR, you could restart and type in apm=off and press enter. You can even type in two options, but the number of combinations gets crazy and hopefully it is just one. When you find the right one, you could edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file as root and add this option so you don’t need to type it each time you start openSUSE.

You’ll want to ask that in the forum on boot/login/install.

You’ll want to ask this one in the network-internet forum.

This forum is intended for you to submit documentation for the rest of us
to evaluate, not to ask questions of problems.

first: welcome new poster ‘shapkaroski’
next: when you say it is stuck waiting, where does it stick? do you
see a green screen, can you push the Esc key and then see
writing…what is the last line you see on the screen…

i assume that means while you are booted to safe mode, right?
lets see if we can’t get you booting normally, and THEN see how your
internet connection is…ok?
so follow the other posters advice on how to learn which failsafe boot
option allows normal booting…first:

I was able to login in properly in opensuse only twice.
I tried with this code:
"

> --------------------
> > > apm=off noresume edd=off powersaved=off nohz=off highres=off processor.max_cstate=1 nomodeset x11failsafe
> --------------------
"
It start just like in failsafe. What should I do next?

It start just like in failsafe. What should I do next?
The thought here was to try ONE option at a time and not all at once which is failsafe. So you try these in order, one at a time:
nomodeset
apm=off
noresume
edd=off
powersaved=off
nohz=off
highres=off
processor.max_
cstate=1
x11failsafe
If you find one or more that help, then you could just use those options alone and no others.
How to move the clock and other staff battery,volume.etc to be right?
Sorry, i’m not linux experience user.
OK, we are starting to get somewhere. To add **apm=off **as a kernel load option, so you do not need to type this in every time, do the following:
Press Alt-F2 and you get the Run Command Box or you can just select the SuSE menu icon and pick Run Command and enter:
kdesu kwrite /boot/grub/menu.lst
Then add just the single command to the kernel load line like this:
Now keep in mind this line is from MY MENU.LST file and not yours. This is just for example only. Also, I made the apm=off in bold, but yours will not be in bold. Once you add this single command, then save your menu.lst and close kwrite.
To change your task bar settings, you would right click on the bar and select Panel Options and then Panel Settings. You may be either missing your Task Manager Widget or it has been moved on you. As you move your pointer over the menu bar you will get a four pointed star. When selected with a left mouse click, you can move that icon or widget around. Be very careful as things can go from bad to worse if you don’t watch what is going on. The Battery Widget was either drug out of the System Tray or you added it to the Desktop. The Widget Control is in the far right of the task menu and you can select it with a single left mouse click and it would be the same as selecting Panel Options / Panel Settings, but quicker. You will need to play with these settings to get the hang of it all. If you should ever get it back to what you like, right click on the bar and pick Lock Widgets.
Wow, finally after 10 minutes I put them into right place. I don’t uderstand why is so mixed :S
Now, when I minimized firefox or something they are not into taskbark, I can switch back only with alt+tab I deleted that panel and create new one.
Which line to reedit?

No, Thank you!! One more thing, on desktop icons when is selected shows + and if click on + changes into - :S
what is the difference?
The +, if pressed, selects that icon. Do this to more than one and then move them around the desktop, for instance. The up arrow, shown on a folder, opens up a folder. Is that what you are talking about? By the way, for our relative new users, I normally post more about the forum operation here:

I did run into the same problem. Adding “nomodeset” to the boot parameters (either in Yast (permanent solution) or during bootup) did fix my problem!
