September screenshot Thread

OK, I’ll kick off September’s desktop screenshot.

That is how it looks with no windows open and the panel hidden.

That is to show how, by and large, applications look like and that there is some small, spartan panel as well. Other than that, I use the nice KWin desktop effects to see what windows are open, or switch desktops etc.

let me guess… Green Tea?

Exactly… 10/10.

openSUSE 11.3 + KDE 4.4 + Susan Coffey (not safe for work! :P) + System Load Viewer plasmoid.

So, I have never tried this before, so I don’t know how you get the little picture, but here is a link to my system.

Thank You,

Most of the forum softwares accept BBcode, which almost every image hosting site provides like imagebam(in your case), imageshack, imagehost etc etc.
After uploading the image on to their site, they will provide different options including BBcode. You can then use that BBcode in forums to have a tiny little picture.
Hope this helps.

The first picture is my desktop and the second my Linux PC.

OK I decided to give this one more try mmarif4u.

Thank You,

It is probably just a question of time before the Apple design departement comes knocking on your door …

:stuck_out_tongue:

(Although I like it.)

Lord_Emsworth I was really hoping that Dell would snap this one up, since they are local and use it to promote openSUSE. But for some reason, I have not got anyone interested so far. You must admit you don’t see something like this everyday.

Thank You,

So you’re the one that bought my old stuff from E-bay. You haven’t even painted the shelve

Yup it was me Knurpht. It was listed as a fixer-uper, but I never paint anything, as they never run any faster with paint. lol!

Thank You,

Arghh… just realized why I cannot see some of the images when I look through this thread at home!

At home I have a content filter (DansGuardian) and it doesn’t accept images from ImageBam (and/or other image storage sites) so my browser just shows a blank space instead.

These look like great screenies. I just got openSUSE installed on my laptop (KDE) and being new to KDE I’m trying to figure out how to change things.

I’ve just switched to KDE after 2,5 years of GNOME…

That will take some time
I worked about 1,5 hours on the desktop above, although this isn’t my first encounter with KDE…
I have to say, left-click->Change desktop background->Customize theme is much easier

Wallpaper from celebo.

I have little of no artistic skill so its nice to have so many contributions out there. Kudos to the artists!

Very simple and clean. Found wallpaper off of Google Images. I love how sexy we all have become in our desktops.
