I cannot have temperatures on my laptop:
suse 11.3
kde 4.5.9 (4.6rc2)
sensors version 3.1.2 with libsensors version 3.1.2
kernel 2.6.37-40-desktop
laptop dell latitude e6510

I tried sensors-detect with this results:

is there any chance to have my cpu and disk temperatures??:slight_smile:

This is relatively common on laptops, where thermal management is
handled by ACPI rather than the OS.

Yes a way is to add as widget. Go to start menu line–> right click–>add widget–>supervisory system
or if you have not download it.

yes I have installed the widget “hardware temperature” but it don’t show me any sensor to pickup temperatures

Maybe you should set it by right click.

I receive exactly the same results. “Sensors-detect” does not find sensor outputs on my PC, Intel i5-430, and, I suspect, cannot find same on i3 processors. When I add the widgets (as described), the widget has no sensors to display.

Perhaps one of the posters AMD Phenom provides these outputs.

During a test of another matter, I upgraded to the Factory/oss, and did get sensor output to the widget(s), although the values seemed questionable (4 <—> 19 Celsius).
