Hi forum,
I am a proud owner of a new laptop, with Windows(R) key excluded™
Installed openSUSE Leap 15.6, perfect
Since this is an AMD based laptop I want to use an AMD optimised kernel, using AMD’s aocc compiler - the DIY way.
So I installed the latest (6.12.6) sources (default, from openSUSE TW), and, copied the config file
from the 6.12.6 default binary rpm, and after “make LLVM=1 xconfig” ran “make binrpm-pkg” and installed the new kernel.
BUT…
My new and shiny system does not come up
It stalls at “Loading initial ramdisk”. Searched the “web”, tried many suggestions, without any progress.
Did any of you girls and guys have any luck with this (my) approach?
This is my system:
- 2 disk drives were used to create a RAID 1 setup
- The root partition is LUKS1 encrypted
- /boot/efi is not encrypted
