Security Update error - kernel-270

Hey folks,

When I try to apply the security update kernel-270 I get the following
error;

virtualbox-ose-kmp-debug-1.5.6_2.6.25.5_1.1-33.1.i586 requires
kernel(debug:vmlinux) = ff0248894ddfe8a0, but this requirement cannot be
provided

I’m not sure what to do about this… Help please

OS is Opensuse 11.0

Thanks

Hi
You need to redo the virtualbox kernel driver as it doesn’t match your
updated kernel. I don’t use virtualbox, but I’m guessing there was an
install routine you had to run when you initially installed it?

Thanks for the reply. As an FYI I just installed Virtalbox via zypper.
I only wanted to have a play with virtualbox so I removed it to see if
that would allow the update to apply. After removing virtualbox I got
the same error on gspcav-kmp-debug.

I then applied the updates using zypper, rather than the graphical
utility that pops out and tells you there is an update, and it gave me
some option of removing gspcav-kmp-debug so the update could apply so
that’s what I did. gspcav-kmp-debug is something to do with the webcam
drivers I believe but I never use it anyway so if it broke the webcam
(which it didn’t do anyway as it still works) then I was not too
concerned.

Thanks again

Paul
