Hello, admin + all. Can someone please tell me why the below security issue (which dated 23 Jan 2013) is still not in
the update repos?? Trying to install mysql/apache2 for web site; need every software up-to-date, secure, and compatible. Thanks!

If that is true and verified, you could ask this at the security mail
list, which is where those questions should go, as they say.

What you get here at the forum is just a copy of those posts at the
“security-announce” mail list.

However.

This announce in particular applies to the 11.4 evergreen version. Are
you sure you have added the Evergreen update repo to your list of repos?

Are you are aware that 11.4 is EOL and you need to add the evergreen
repos for continued but limited security support?

@robin_listas: sorry, very, very sorry!! In my haste I missed that this is only for 11.4! I’m OK w/12.2 + updates till
9 Feb 2013 per standard/update repos. I get extra ‘shaky’ when dealing w/mysql and apache; just don’t get ‘it’, which is what I’m working on so as to be able to host/run my own site. Thanks for your time and patience.

Welcome

I was worried you might be using 11.4 without the evergreen updates.

Yes, the announces for evergreen got posted later than when they were
uploaded, all mails in a single bunch, when they found the manner of
doing the posts. You probably got the update for 12.2 much earlier.
