no, but i have recently learned (from Malcolm, in usenet) of
startpage.com which might be what you are looking for–if you are
wanting a more ‘private’ search capability…

Thanks for the link. Well, privacy is my main concern, but I found startpage.com to be pretty useless. Even after I had eliminated all the “family” filters and everything else, filtering was excessive. A search for a common (mild) swear word produced…

of the all the words that can’t be said on TV? i just searched on the
original “seven dirty words” and had zero trouble finding them…
