why does the search button don’t work??
Im using firefox 3.5.9 on opensuse 11.2
I click on search an nothing appear.
ciao Pier
I am sorry to admit that there is a problem. We try to get the attention of people who we hope can do aomething about it.
In fact it is not the Search that does not function. The problem is that none of the foold-out menus buttons function when you have the openSUSE default" style on (which is the default).
Please try to use donw-left on the page where it says
– openSUSE default
to change to
– openSUSE basic
Then you will get the same page in another style. This style will hold as long as you are loged in. The buttons should work now.
The item is being worked on. At the moment a lot of work is being done to move to a new version of the forums software.

nope! there is more to it than that i’m afraid…by which i mean that
i have “openSUSE Default” as my “skin” and if not logged in the
‘Search’ link works perfectly, whisking me instantly to
http://forums.opensuse.org/search.php
but, if logged into the forums, the ‘Search’ link is dead as a door
nail…whereas some days ago if i clicked it it would drop down a
blank i could type into, or click to ‘Advanced Search’

Ok I’m logged in and in basic it’s everything ok (but a littley uglysh eppearence ;) )
It is only a by-pass as it of course has to be repaired.
And the appearence is personal, I use it all the time and find the characters much better readable.
Having returned to see the hideous new vb 4.xx forum, I quickly changed to the old Default and hit search to see if anyone else disliked the new Style — it wouldn’t work, but immediately I right-clicked the link to open in a new tab and that worked perfectly.
I can’t see this is any more difficult than opening in the same page…
