I have the sddm menu and i can loging and use my plasma environment
Have you and idea of the problem ??

best regard

If I am reading that correctly, then the one that works (the second one) is for the previous kernel. The one that does not work is for the most recent kernel.

So it looks as if you are having problems with kernel Linux 4.12.14-lp150.12.22-default

It might be worth filing a bug report about this problem.

openSUSE:Submitting bug reports

Hi
OK i will do that
regards

Manythanks, I have the same problem
https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/533470-after-the-last-update-and-the-new-kernel-hang-at-started-locale-service/page2
and I was doubtfully to install the new kernel 4.12.14-lp150.12.22.1 in the repos, that has an .1 different of your, if you sacceed to install and work with this let me know please

That’s likely the same kernel.

If you install that, it will show up in “/boot” as “4.12.14-lp150.12.22”. The “.1” is the compilation number, in case it is ever recompiled. But that compilation number does not show up in the kernel name (nor in the output of “uname -a”).

Looking at the opensuse-bugs mailing list, it looks as if:
Bug 1113512: cant use sddm loging screen
is the bug report for this problem.

I think it is suggesting this was an issue with the Nvidia drivers.

I have report as you suggest to me , It is my report

no it is not and nvidia problem, everythings work with the old kernel
regards

yes, may be, me also use nvidia drivers, but, how can I reinstall the nvidia drivers if I cannot login??

You may need to boot to single user mode.

Hit ‘e’ on the grub menu, scroll down to the line that starts “linux” (or, maybe, “linuxefi”) and append " 1" to the end of the line. Then hit CTRL-X to continue booting.

That should give you a command line session. You should be able to login as root, and run yast (command line version) to uninstall and then reinstall the nvidia drivers.

maaaanythanks, it worked, I uninstalled nvidia drivers, updated to new kwrnel, it result a bit difficult due to many flickering of the screen also in console non graphic mode, both systems leap 15.0 booted graphically with kernel 4.12.14-lp150.12.22 and 4.12.14-lp150.12.16 but without nvidia drivers, so it seems definitely a nvidia driver problem, but as kde plasma5, if I remember works bad with nouveau, I’ll try to reinstall nvidia drivers, that, accordind to the bug say, it seems to works if installed after the kernel and only with that kernel
