Is " SDB:Installing codecs from Packman repositories" the current and proper way to install Multimedia Codecs like MP3, DVD, DivX, MP4?
The suggestions are ones which have worked for me.

I did not read it, but the only thing I ever did during many years is adding the Packman repo and then doing the vendor switch (often the YaST way, but also the zypper way). This way of working includes that I never installed individual packages from a list found anywhere.
It could be that my multi-media usage is not very adventurous, but I never had any “codecs” problem.
I think I can add that a few times a month, until the present day, here on the forums someone claims to have a multi-media problem. Once (s)he is convinced to do the vendor switch, the problem is gone.

TypeError: 'Repository' object is not subscriptable
so I’m assuming this portion of the install failed, (2) where / what do I need to do to complete this portion, (3) if a bug, then where do I report this, (4) VLC does plays my .mp4 videos. So I’m guessing this just mean has stated; ‘Repository’ object is not subscriptable.
or
Would doing Option 2 or 3 correct this?
