I’m running OpenSUSE on a Thinkpad R61i. It’s absolutely perfect but recently it’s been doing this thing where the scroll wheel makes the page change size and all my button presses trigger responses from the system rather than just typing. I’m using Google Chrome, it’s only remedy seems to be a hard reboot. How can I get it to stop doing this?
Have you checked for the presence of jam in your keyboard, specifically in or around the ctrl key area?
This is also known by the misnomer of sticky keys, found in the Accessibility section of personal settings.
