Screengrab of boot menu?

The boot menu splash grub screen
You can take a photo of it. But it doesn’t look so good and certainly not professional (especially with me in the shadows)

Is there any other way to conjure up a screen of this?

Thanks

VirtualBox/VMware/QEmu and use your real disk as the boot disk, boot from it and take a screenshot?

Sounds pretty weird but as I recall I did that back in the day.

Interesting
Which means installing VirtualBox. Ah well…I’ll see

  1. camera on tripod

  2. experiment:

a. moving camera in/out until finding optimum distance from screen
for sharp focus

b. moving in close enough to fill the image with screen might not
be as good as moving back until the image is sharp, and then
cropping/sizing the posting image (with GIMP) after taking the pix

  1. measure distance lens to screen (so you know it next time)

  2. turn off room light–the less well you are lit the better (wear
black, black gloves, and a black ski mask, and say “Gimme your money”
    while taking the photo:)
