Whatever you do , don’t run the screen saver under WINE ,
you won’t be able to shut it down and will have to switch to another terminal and REBOOT.
For some reason WINE won’t pass keystrokes to the program to shut it down.
The Bing bar thingy , search bar that comes up in KDE Plasma when you press Alt-F2 will intercept all the WINE keystrokes.
And you won’t be able to shut the screen saver down
You can log into another terminal and run “top”. and shut it down manually and when you switch back to terminal Ctrl-Alt-F7 you’ll just get a blank screen…
Then you got to go back to another login terminal and run reboot.
The KDE and WINE coders probably need to know what’s happening so they can fix the problem.

Where on the Open SUSE 42.2 Leap file system do i find the screen saver binaries?
/ usr / share / applications / screensavers has the screen saver info files.
I tried to edit one and rewrote it to point to my screen saver and when i run xscreensaver-demo , my screen saver doesn’t show up in the listing?
Where do i need to stick the binary ??
I don’t use screensavers, but a quick examination of the .desktop files located in /usr/share/applications/ directory show that they belong to xscreensaver-data and xscreensaver-data-extra packages, with the executable files located in the /usr/lib64/xscreensaver/ directory.
