After upgrading from 11.2 to 11.3 I sometimes find the screen displaying what sysvinit is doing, displayed in a 640x480 box in the upper left corner of the screen.
menu.lst has the following option set “vga=0x318”, which I think should be ok for this laptop capable of displaying 1280x800.
Once X is started the resolution is usually ok
It is not a serious issue, but it would be nice if someone knew a fix for this.
