hi
i wonder if anyone can help me. after logging into opensuse 11.1 (64bit) KDE desktop my default screen resolution of 1280x1024 is too high for me. i can manually reset the resolution to my preferred size of 1024x768 in desktop settings menu each time i use opensuse, but this is becoming tiresome.
p.s. i have tried to edit the xorg.conf file to remove all references to the higher resolution. this worked, but the text on my desktop then became smaller…arghh
any suggestions to how i can fix my desktop to 1024x768 and retain readable text size would be most welcome
many thanks
kevin
can anyone help, default screen resolution on login is 1280x1024, despite being set to 1024x768 in configuration settings. also the panel at the bottom of the screen only extends about 4/5ths of the way across the screen.
there must be an easy fix for what has otherwise been an easy install
many thanks
kevin
It take 8 mouse clicks to manually setup my screen resolution each and every time i log on. surely someone must know an easy fix to what must be a common problem.
any help would be much appreciated.
