Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050

Hi,
I have read and tried a lot of proposed fixes, to no avail.

I have a Geforce 9400 GT Video Card
I am running Suse 12.1
I have Nvidia X Server Settings installed

When I go to Display Monitor the max res is 1024x768

The monitor runs 1680x1050 no prob on other software.

Where can I go to include the Res of 1680 x 1050. ?

Cheers
Ron

I Should have also included these results
rpm -qa|grep nvidia
nvidia-computeG02-295.49-17.1.x86_64
nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-desktop-295.49_k3.1.0_1.2-16.1.x86_64
x11-video-nvidiaG02-295.49-17.1.x86_64

Your detected display modes will be reported via:

xrandr

It could be that your monitor display settings could not be read in properly (ie an EDID issue). This could be due to your monitor itself (buggy or missing EDID), the cable, or a KVM switch. The /var/log/Xorg.0.log file may tell you what the situation is with more clarity. It is a verbose file, so if you want to share it here, the best method is to upload the contents of it to SUSE Paste
and post only the link to it here.

You’ll also want to check that the nvidia driver is actually in use.
