Hi I am very new to openSUSE and KDE. I have done my install and my resoloution is set at 1024x768. It is far too big is there anything I need to do to get a better resoloution, something like 1440x900?
Cheers

Hi Matt. You need to provide some more info in order for us to comment on this. Can you tell us which graphics chipset you have, and the video driver being used?
This command can help with that
/usr/sbin/hwinfo --gfxcard
Now, something you can try in the meantime, is to launch sax2 via
YaST > Hardware > Graphics Card and Monitor
From here you can select your monitor. If your model is not listed, you can either provide a utility disk that may have come with your monitor (assuming not a laptop), or try selecting a generic LCD model with the same native resolution as your monitor.
Thanks but I worked it out.
