New to linux. Running opensuse 12.2 64 bit w/ KDE.
I have a lenovo x230.
I am having the problem that when I lock the screen the backlight stays on.
Are you still using the default 3.4 kernel? On a search, I find that kernel 3.7 and 3.8 have some sort of regression on the screen brightness and perhaps it affects the backlight as well, but not sure. It also suggested that upgrading to kernel 3.6 (from 3.4) might help.
