I have the feeling you have a hardware problem, nothing software can
change. Try testing with a different display unit, perhaps your TV set
has a plug for computer.

Thanks you are probably correct. Forgot to say I run dual monitors and there is no flickering on my 2nd monitor. I will try to hook up to another main monitor just to be sure. I was considering buying a new monitor so this could be just a little push in the right direction.

Can you exchange them? If the problem migrates, the problem is the
monitor or the cable. Then exchange the cables…

Well, but don’t buy another monitor just for this problem before you
know for sure what the problem is
