Screen flickering with Intel HD5300

Hi!
I have a screen flickering problem on my Asus UX305 laptop with Intel HD 5300 graphics card. It is only happening when the resolution is 1920x1080, when I lower it there is no flickering at all. I read that it can be because of the low idle frequency of the GPU, but I don’t know how to increase it. Any suggestions?

outpu of /sbin/lspci -nnk | grep VGA -A2:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Sky Lake Integrated Graphics [8086:191e] (rev 07)

I have almost the same issue after latest sets of updates.

I have a intel skylake gt2 card and when connecting the hdmi the build in displays starts flickering or the system freezes.

Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Regards,

Thank for your answer! I think it’s better to countinue this thread in https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/516798-Intel-Skylake-help to keep it in one place.

I found something. Someone on an arch forum said problems like this sometimes can be solved by increasing the minimal/idle frequency of the GPU. Problem is I really don’t know how to start. :stuck_out_tongue: How is it possible?
