Scolling down/up on websites lagging

I’m a newbie to openSUSE, so please be easy on me.

When I visit a website, lets say this forum for example, and I scroll up or down (mouse wheel, up/down arrows,pg up/down) there is a lag. So if I quickly want to spin the mouse wheel to go to a specific spot quickly I find there will be about a 1-2 second lag. It’s not ‘choppy’, just slow and behind. Other Linux distros have worked fine for me.

I’m using openSUSE 11.2 and Firefox. The websites are loading fast, especially Youtube videos! And all around it’s great, so I’m impressed with SUSE.

If anyone has idea that would be great.

Thanx in advance.

What video card / device do you have?

Hi caf,

I fixed it. On Firefox there was a setting called ‘smooth scrolling’ enabled. I unchecked it and now there is no delay.

Thanks!

Thanks. I have seen this before.

Great thread, really helped with my problem.
