Scanning capabilities no longer work

My Canon MG 2220 printer no longer scans and it used to.

It still prints fine AFAIK.

Nothing has been installed or uninstalled other than automatic OpenSuse updates.

Could you describe what happens in the scanning application you’re using
(and which application that is)?

That would be better than making us play 20 questions to find out.

Something that might help diagnose - try:

scanimage -L

And report back (in code tags) what the output is.

Do you still have the scangear packages installed? Check with

rpm -qa|grep scangear

For reference, you should get

scangearmp-mg2200series-2.00-1.x86_64
scangearmp-common-2.00-1.x86_64

What errors do you get (if any) when you launch ‘scangearmp’ from a terminal?

You have been warned now. The forums T&C are clear about personal attacks, this is one.

Then it’s a good thing I provided some help. You did not provide
sufficient information, and I merely asked for more information and
suggested how you could get it.

Watch yourself, engaging in personal attacks violates the terms and
