Yes. Localization and language is chosen right.
In all other programs such problem is not observed.

Perhaps this is due to the fact that I updated the xorg-server to version 1.6.2. From this repository: X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_11.1.

your english is great! but i have NO idea if that upgrade causes the
VERY STRANGE problem you have…

but, i ask did you ‘update’ for a specific purpose or need?
or just update to update?

i can’t recommend just throwing updates at a well running machine…
i mean, i english we say: If it is not broke, do NOT fix it!!

maybe if can you backtrack and UN-update back to the standard X you
will solve the problem…maybe not…

HOPEFULLY someone will come along who actually knows WAY all those
words are missing in your YaST!!
