Save My Datas To Jump Drive Or Exterior USB Drive

I could not save all of my OpenOffice document .odt files to exterior USB drive. I am using openSUSE 10.2 that runs well with my old Toshiba Satellite laptop on KDE. I did tried almost everything in it but could not. Need your help! Donald Martin

So is the USB drive mounting properly? Does the drive have enough free space? What kind of partition is on the USB hard drive (NTFS, EXT2, EXT3 RISERFS)? Do you get an error message of some kind? When the USB drive is connected and mounted, can you open a terminl session and run this command and place the output into a message here:

su -
password:
fdisk -l

Thank You,

Thanks sooo much! We are very happy with older version 10.2. . it stays well without any virus program that are really not needed. Not like Windows that REQUIRES virus-trojan program. . . Newer 11.3 won’t install on our older Toshiba satellite on Celeron M??? Anyway I really appreciate that my wife and me could go around freely without terrible crashdowns that I had to put in factory image CD every about two weeks for several months. . . Thanks to openSUSE
